Start with the system
The zodiac is divided into twelve signs. Western tropical astrology and Vedic sidereal astrology use different reference systems. The same person's placements can therefore carry different sign labels. This guide introduces Western symbolic groupings; it does not calculate your Sun sign or Vedic Rashi.
Fire: Aries, Leo and Sagittarius
Fire is traditionally associated with initiative and expression. Use this as a reflection prompt: where would you like to act with more intention? It is not evidence that everyone with one of these Sun signs behaves alike.
Earth: Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn
Earth symbolism emphasizes practical concerns and continuity. A useful prompt is to consider which small, repeatable habit supports your goals. Your sign does not determine your job, finances or abilities.
Air: Gemini, Libra and Aquarius
Air is associated with ideas and exchange. Reflect on how you ask questions and communicate. These associations are part of an interpretive tradition, not a psychological assessment.
Water: Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces
Water symbolism concerns feeling and receptivity. You might reflect on what helps you feel supported. A sign cannot diagnose emotional or mental health.
A sign is only one label
A general Sun-sign article is not a full chart reading. Birth-date ranges are approximate near sign changes. Personal calculations require the relevant date, time, place and a declared zodiac system.
Sources and further reading
Scientific sources support physical or health facts. Sources about traditional practices describe interpretations, not proof of predictions.
